Services

Structured, 1:1 online sessions to support communication, practical next steps and the emotional load of living alongside Type 1 diabetes

These sessions have been developed in collaboration with parents, partners, siblings and people living with Type 1 diabetes, so the space reflects the reality that people involved in support actually face, not just the theory.

What Sessions feel like

Every experience of Type 1 diabetes is different, and every family needs support that fits their individual situation. Some people prefer more practical and focused sessions, while others are looking for a slower pace to reflect on their experience living alongside Type 1 diabetes. These sessions are designed to act as a framework that can be tailored to you. If you have any specific concerns or issues you would like to work through, you can always contact me before booking a session so we can find a structure that works for you.

Whether the person you are supporting is newly diagnosed or has been living with the condition for a number of years, these sessions aim to support people at all stages of their journey with Type 1 diabetes.

What you’ll leave with

Depending on the structure and content of the session you choose, you will come away with:

  • a clear map of what is driving the pressure

  • scripts for difficult conversations

  • plans for appointments and meetings

  • small experiments to reduce stress and tension

Who I can help

I work with:

  • parents of children, teenagers and young adults with type 1 diabetes

  • partners and friends

  • family members closely involved in support

This service is for adults only (18+) living alongside Type 1 diabetes. It is not designed for individuals with Type 1 diabetes seeking support.

When people reach out

  • reminders and “checking in” keep turning into conflict

  • they can’t switch off, especially at night

  • they feel responsible for safety and overwhelmed by the responsibility

  • appointments and school meetings feel rushed, intimidating or unproductive

  • they feel isolated carrying the emotional load of Type 1 diabetes
