A calm starting point if you feel overwhelmed, unsure, or that you are doing too much alone. We will work together to build a picture of how type 1 diabetes is impacting you and your family specifically so we can pinpoint where the pressure sits. Foundations sessions are about leaving with a clearer focus and one practical shift that feels safe and doable.
Best for
overwhelm and constant worry
carrying the mental load alone
not knowing where to start
burnout building over time
Complex relationship dynamics due to type 1 diabetes (e.g. sibling tension)
pressure spikes around nights, alarms, school, meals, or appointments
What we’ll do
map where the pressure sits (and what’s in/out of your control)
identify your supporter patterns when worry spikes (checking, reminding, stepping in, avoiding)
choose one small, safe experiment that reduces pressure without increasing risk
You’ll leave with
a simple pressure map (high pressure vs what’s changeable)
clearer role boundaries (realistic expectations rather than blame and guilt)
one micro-experiment to try once + a simple weekly check-in metric
